Michael Ball, the Kitchener man charged with first degree murder in the death of Erin Howlett, has been released on bail.

Howlett’s body was found in the Grand River in July 2013.

Ball was arrested four months later.

Tuesday morning, he was released on a $600,000 bail.

Conditions of his release include staying under house arrest.

Ball's murder trial is scheduled to begin Nov. 2.
