More than 900 athletes from across Ontario competed in the Special Olympics Ontario Spring Games.
Closing ceremonies were held at the Sleeman Centre on Saturday night.
Members of the Guelph Police Department were also there to celebrate another successful games.
“It has been phenomenal,” said Guelph Police Chief Jeff DeRuyter. “We knew it was going to be a great celebration. It really is about the athletes and our community has so gotten into these Special Olympics.”
Officers also helped carry the Special Olympics torch with two of this year’s medal winners.
The next Special Olympics Games will be held in Peel Region.
