The province is offering a fifty-thousand dollar reward for information leading to the conviction of Frederick "John" Hatch's killer.
Hatch's body was found last December in a wooded area near Wellington Road 124 in the town of Erin.
The day before that the 65-year-old was spotted at a dollar store near Ottawa.
Hatch had no fixed address and was known to hitch-hike, though police say it is not clear if that is how he travelled to Erin. They say it is also unclear if he was dead or alive when he arrived in southwestern Ontario.
The OPP consider his death a murder and are asking anyone with information to contact OPP, their local police service or Crime Stoppers.
