Friends of Tim Bosma collected over $191,000 at a memorial fundraiser, Friday night in Copetown near Ancaster where Bosma lived.
It’s been several weeks since Tim Bosma's abduction and murder. Friends and neighbours are still rallying together to support the Bosma family.
Gary Kikkert one of Tim Bosma’s friends says, “I’m amazed how many people care about him. He was a great man, loved his family, and loved helping everybody else out.”
Organizers put together an event featuring performances, food and prizes.
The money raised will go to a memorial trust fund to help look after Bosma's widow, Sharlene and their young daughter.
Organizer Ken Biehler says, “It's such a tragic event and we want to make sure that we all get together and come through this difficult time.”
Bosma disappeared May 6, after taking two men on a test drive. His remains were found burned beyond recognition at a North Dumfries farm.
Dellen Millardand Mark Smich are charged with first degree murder in Bosma’s death.
