Two separate crashes shut down the westbound 403 near Brantford Thursday afternoon.
A transport truck had a problem with a tire that sent it crashing into a car just west of the Wayne Gretzky Parkway exit.
Police said no one was hurt in that crash.
Within the same hour, another westbound transport truck, a car and an SUV were involved in a collision east of the Garden Avenue exit.
Three people were taken to hospital with non, life-threatening injuries.
Police said charges are pending in both crashes.
