Firefighters were able to get a burning piece of farm equipment out of a barn Wednesday afternoon before the flames spread to the barn itself, or the animals inside.
Fire crews were called to the property on Hessen Strasse, north of Wellesley, around 2:15 p.m.
Acting fire chief Steve Martin says a skid steer was burning inside the barn, and was pulled out by the first firefighters to arrive at the scene, leaving a “minimal” fire inside.
There were no injuries to people or animals, though the skid steer was damaged beyond repair.
