A small community in Oxford County woke up Saturday to find that a number of homes and vehicles had been targeted by criminals overnight.
Oxford County OPP say multiple mischief, theft and vehicle entry incidents were reported to them from Sweaburg, which is located south of Woodstock and east of Ingersoll.
Police report several vehicles being tagged with graffiti, stolen items including cash, a wallet and CDs – some of which were found “smashed and destroyed” elsewhere in the neighbourhood – and the knocking over of five mailboxes.
Incidents were reported on Chele Mark Crescent, Lisas Drive and Glenn Avenue.
In one case, police say, a large bench was placed on top of a parked vehicle, causing paint damage.
