Hazel Street between Tamarack and Smallwood in Waterloo was shut down for approximately two hours Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to a call for gunshots.
Nearby residents tell CTV News they were asked to stay in their homes.
Police investigated and found that there were no shots were fired. They believe the sound was a door slamming.
No one was charged, and there were no injuries.
