Waterloo Regional Police have arrested and charged a 26 year old Kitchener man in connection with the Fountain street car park shooting early Saturday morning.

Police say 26 year old, Hasnain Ali Manji, was arrested at his Kitchener home early this Sunday morning.  Manji appeared in court today and is facing numerous charges, including two counts of attempted murder with a firearm.

The victim, say police is a 25 year old Brampton resident, who at the time of the incident was sitting behind the wheel of his vehicle at the carpool lot near the 401.

He was shot multiple times and officials say he did have to undergo surgery. He's now in stable condition and recovering in hospital. The female passenger in the victim’s vehicle was unharmed. 

Despite the arrest, investigators are still looking to locate a 1997 Mercedes E32, four door black vehicle, Ontario licence plate BSPL580. 

Police believe it has damage to the front passenger side. If you spot the car, officials say don’t approach the vehicle, instead call 911.
