Officials in Markdale say there's no building permit on file for a deck that came crashing down this week, injuring six people.
John Aikens of the Grey Highlands Building Department says without the record, it's impossible to tell how old the structure was or which version of the building code applied when it was built.
Meanwhile, three of the six family members hurt in Tuesday's collapse have been released from hospital.
All are expected to survive.
