Man arrested, stolen goods recovered in Brant County

A man has been arrested after Ontario Provincial Police responded to a reported theft.

Police said an officer was approached by the complainant at a gas station on Colborne Street East at 11:07 a.m. on Tuesday. The officer was told a male suspect stole several items from a nearby business.

The officer found the suspect nearby and began speaking with him. The suspect told the officer where he had left the stolen items and he was arrested.

A 36-year-old man from Brantford was charged with theft under $5,000.
