A house fire in the Blair Road area of Cambridge is being treated as suspicious, the city’s fire department says.
A call from a passerby who saw smoke brought fire crews to the Westcliff Way home around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the home, and then turned the scene over to Waterloo Regional Police and the Office of the Fire Marshal.
No people were home at the time of the fire. There were pets inside, all of whom were quickly accounted for.
Damage is estimated at $80,000.
