A man has been charged with attempted murder in relation to an incident last week at a Kitchener apartment.
Last Thursday, police were called to an apartment at Madison Avenue and Mill Street and found a man and a woman with stab wounds.
The man was later taken to a Hamilton hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. Both people continue to recover in hospital.
On Tuesday, police announced that the man has been charged with attempted murder.
Police say the man and woman were known to each other, and domestic violence officers continue to investigate the incident.
The identity of the man is not being released in order to help protect the identity of the woman, police say.
