$2.2K in lipstick stolen from Guelph business
The Guelph Police Service is investigating after two people stolen more than $2,200 worth of lipstick from a south-end business Saturday.
Police say a man and woman entered a business near Stone Road West and Scottsdale Drive around 7 p.m.
“As the woman pretended to look at fragrances while watching employees, the male began placing handfuls of items in his jacket,” police said in a media release. “They left the store five minutes after entering.”
In total, police said 136 Maybelline lipsticks worth $2,242 were stolen.
The man was described as in his mid-30s, 5’8”, with a medium build, olive complexion and dark facial hair. He was wearing a black workwear-style jacket, beige sweater, jeans and a black baseball cap.
The woman was also in her mid-30s, around 5’6”, with a medium build, olive complexion, dark hair and a large nose. She was wearing a long beige winter jacket, black sweater and a zebra-print toque.
