Five people are facing charges after Woodstock police investigated a report of an armed robbery at a New Orleans Pizza last Saturday.

Police were called on Saturday, Apr. 14 at 10:40 p.m. with reports that the New Orleans Pizza on Huron Street had been robbed.

The female employee reported that a man entered the business brandishing a knife and demanded money. The employee was not harmed and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The criminal investigations branch investigated and determined that the robbery report was false.

Through further investigation police linked the suspects to a break and enter at the New Orleans Pizza in Ingersoll. The suspects were also discovered to be linked to a theft of copper from a Hydro One substation in London.

As a result of the investigation Woodstock police have laid several charges against several individuals.

Brittany Hussey, the employee of the Woodstock New Orleans Pizza, is charged with two counts of public mischief for the false robbery report as well as robbery-related charges.

Trent Hussey and Cody Chesney of Woodstock are facing charges including break and enter.

Greg Baldwin and Amanda Hill of Tavistock and Shannon Hickey of Woodstock are charged with possession of stolen property.

They will appear in Woodstock court to answer to charges at a later date.
