Argument between two women leads to assault: police

A Saturday night argument between two women led to a serious assault, according to Winnipeg police.

Officers said they were called at about 11:30 p.m. to the first block of Davis Crescent, where they found an 18-year-old woman suffering from serious upper-body injuries after she was assaulted.

A suspect was arrested near the scene, police said.

An investigation revealed two women were drinking together at a home when they got into an argument that led to an assault.

Another 18-year-old woman is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm. She was released on an undertaking.
