WINDSOR, Ont. -- Windsor police have identified a homicide victim discovered in a home following a fire Saturday morning.

Fire crews responded to a fire at the single family bungalow just after 5 a.m.

When the blaze was extinguished about half an hour later, a body was found inside a bedroom.

Police say there were clear signs of trauma to the body indicating a homicide had occurred.

Investigators also say there was evidence at the scene that showed the fire was deliberately set.

The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Dale Allen Young, of Windsor, Ont.

The fire marshal, forensic units and arson units are on scene.

Police say the cause of death and suspected motive will not be released at this time.
