Waterloo crash sends cyclist to hospital with serious injuries

A cyclist has been sent to hospital after he was hit by a driver in Waterloo on Friday morning.

On Dec. 13 at around 8:30 a.m. emergency services were called to the area of Fischer-Hallman Road and Columbia Street West for reports of a crash between a car and a cyclist.

The 61-year-old cyclist was sent to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car was not hurt.

A 30-year-old woman was charged with careless driving causing bodily harm and having no insurance.

The investigation continues.
