Waterloo crash sends cyclist to hospital with serious injuries

A cyclist has been sent to hospital after he was hit by a driver in Waterloo on Friday morning.
On Dec. 13 at around 8:30 a.m. emergency services were called to the area of Fischer-Hallman Road and Columbia Street West for reports of a crash between a car and a cyclist.
The 61-year-old cyclist was sent to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car was not hurt.
A 30-year-old woman was charged with careless driving causing bodily harm and having no insurance.
The investigation continues.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, has information or has video footage is asked to call the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit at 519-570-9777, extension 8856.
