A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for Wayne David Moore of Hamilton, also known as ‘Young Drone,' in connection with the murder of a Cambridge man.

Waterloo Regional Police spokesperson Olaf Heinzel says the 21-year-old faces a charge of second degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of Joseph Batten, 22.

Batten was killed in the early morning hours on Saturday outside the Masonic Hall in Cambridge, which had been rented out for a private party.

A poster from local promoters indicates the party, dubbed ‘Hot Friday Sexy Ladies Edition,' featured a number of musical performances.

Moore or ‘Young Drone' is credited in a number of music videos on YouTube by the Ontario rap group HAMILTON'$ FINE$T.

He is also part of a duo known as Real Talk Records, according to ReverbNation.com, a website for the independent music industry.

Heinzel says "We are recommending the public not to approach him. He is wanted in connection with a violent murder."

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police at 519-650-8500 Ext. 8642 or Crime Stoppers.

Earlier this week 18-year-old Madison Doyle, also of Hamilton, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

On her Facebook profile, Doyle identifies herself as being engaged to 'Young Drone.'

Doyle made a court appearance on Wednesday, but her application for release on bail was adjourned until Friday.
