Grey County OPP are warning residents about the 'grandparent scam.'
A person will call senior citizens pretending to be a relative in need of cash. Often times the caller will ask for the money to be wired to them.
In Sarnia, residents have been receiving letters from someone claiming to be from the First National Bank in South Africa. They claim they need money to get out of the country.
The recipients' name and address have been hand written on the envelope to make it appear legitimate.
