Two people are facing a string of charges after an early morning call for Grey County OPP.

Around 4:50 on Tuesday morning, police received a report of a stolen pickup truck from a home on Grey Road 3 in Chatsworth Township.  While officers were investigating the truck theft, they discovered an older model Honda in the area.  It had been abandoned with the keys inside.  The car had been reported stolen earlier that night.

Officers patrolling the area found the stolen pickup truck being driven recklessly through a field on Dutch Line, south of Chatsworth.  The followed as the truck continued through a number of fields until it came to a stop at the rear of a property on Highway 6.  A woman was arrested at that farm.  A second suspect, a male, fled the scene on a stolen ATV.  He abandoned the ATV a short time later and fled on foot.

Police contained the area and requested the assistance of a K9 unit from Wellington County OPP.  The suspect was tracked and apprehended trying to break into a property on Concession 4 to the south.

A 31-year-old woman from West Grey and a 20-year-old man from Bruce County face charges including 7 counts of Possession of Stolen Property, 3 counts of theft of a motor vehicle, break and enter and dangerous driving.
