A pickup truck drove into a Brant County building, and caused a fire early Saturday morning.

Brant County OPP say there were called to Triggers and Bows, a shooting range on Bishopsgate Road in Burford, at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

They say a GMC pickup truck had been driven into the front doors of the building and caught fire.

“From the vehicle being on fire, the fire spread into the building,” explained Const. Ken Johnston, with Brant County OPP.

“(The truck) was completely destroyed by fire, so our experts are in the process right now of trying to identify the registered owner of that vehicle,” Johnston added.

Police and firefighters found no one in the truck, or inside the building. OPP aren’t sure if anyone was injured.

“There were no people in the truck, so we don’t know if they’ve sustained any injuries. If they have, we haven’t located that person yet,” Johnston said.

OPP say the majority of the damage to the building is fire related.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.

“If anybody did drive by, if they happened to see a vehicle in the area anytime between two thirty and four in the morning… possibly driving around or even of a suspicious nature if they could contact the Brant County OPP,” said Johnston.
