One lane of Highway 401, through Kitchener, was closed Monday after a transport truck driver took evasive action to avoid a crash.

Ontario Provincial Police shared a photo of a damaged transport truck on social media.

They said the driver, trying to steer clear of rear-end collision, instead slammed into a concrete wall in the eastbound lanes near Homer Watson Boulevard.

OPP told CTV News that no one was hurt.

The left lane of the highway was briefly closed while crews cleaned up the debris and removed the truck.
