Police say they’ve made three arrests in connection with a fire that destroyed a warehouse in Guelph last fall.
On Oct. 20, 2012, fire broke out at the warehouse located at 10 Kingsmill Avenue.
The building was used by the St. Vincent De Paul Society as a storage facility for goods donated for their thrift store.
The 40,000-square-foot warehouse was completely destroyed in the fire, which caused an estimated $3 million in damage and cleanup costs.
"It caused damage and the destruction of property in this warehouse that belonged to a St. Vincent De Paul thrift store that supplied clothing for the needy within our community," said Const. Mike Gatto.
Police announced Monday afternoon that three teenagers have been arrested in connection with the fire.
Two 16-year-old Guelph boys and a 17-year-old boy from Elmira were arrested late last week.
All three are facing charges of arson as well as breaking and entering. They'll all appear in court April 3.
Police say they’re still searching for a 17-year-old girl from Huntsville, who will be facing the same charges.
