Another person has been charged in relation to an armed theft at the Peoples Jewelers store at Fairview Park Mall in Kitchener on December 1, 2010.

Waterloo Regional Police in partnership with York Regional Police have arrested a third male in connection with the robbery.

Baseer AHMED, 19, of Richmond Hill, is in court today in Kitchener. He is charged with robbery using a firearm, robbery, wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, pointing a firearm, weapons dangerous to public peace and mischief under $5000.

Three male suspects were all dressed in black and were carrying guns when they entered the store over a year ago.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt, but some glass was smashed. The suspects all had their faces covered and at least one was wearing a wrestling-style mask.

On November 29, 2011 Mohammad Saeid Kermani of Richmond Hill was charged with robbery using a firearm, robbery, wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence, pointing a firearm, weapons dangerous and mischief under $5,000.

Waterloo Region police worked together with York Region police to facilitate the arrest.

Back in March, another Richmond Hill man, 20-year-old Nima Malek was arrested, facing similar charges.
