Stone Road Mall has announced it will restore the nativity scene that has been part of its Christmas celebration for the past nine years.
This comes on the heels of a massive public outcry. Members of the community expressed their disappointment that the nativity scene was not part of this year’s display.
The mall previously stated that the nativity scene no longer fit within their decorating strategy and that included available space.
Mall management still isn't speaking to the media about this situation.
They didn't want to comment on the initial decision.
Late Wednesday morning, they issued a statement saying the reaction to the removal has prompted its return.
