A Waterloo business owner says he’s disappointed after a swastika was scratched into his SUV Friday afternoon.

Alnoor Keshvani says he’s disappointed to have been hit by vandalism, and angry about the specific symbol that was used.

“I’m angry at the nature of the graffiti. It’s 2016,” he said.

Keshvani has reported the vandalism to police, and plans to make an insurance claim.

He says his SUV was damaged while parked outside his uptown clothing store, and other vehicles in the area were left untouched.

On Thursday, a racial slur was spray-painted on a home on Hazel Street, in the city’s university district.

It is not clear if the two incidents are connected in any way.
