A police raid in Fergus produced stolen credit cards and methamphetamine.

Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police say they executed a search warrant for a home in Fergus on Friday.

Once inside the home located on St. Patrick Street East, police say they seized a large amount of documents, identity documents and credit cards that did not belong to the residents of that home.

Methamphetamine was also seized.

34-year-old Richard Cutting of Fergus and 35-year-old Tracy Dolmage of Fergus have been charged with five counts of theft from mail contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada, five counts of mischief under $ 5,000 and, possession of methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.

The OPP along with assistance from Canada Post will continue this investigation, due to the sheer volume of stolen mail found, according to a release.

The area has had number of mail thefts recently, however police have not said that those incidents are connected.

More charges to the pair could be added.
