Environment Canada says a cold front making its way across southern Ontario will bring snow to many areas.

Lake effect flurries which moved in Friday night are bringing snow to the province's central and southwest areas.

A snow squall warning is in effect for London, eastern Middlesex County, Woodstock, Tillsonburg, Oxford County, Huron, Perth, Newmarket, northern York Region, Innisfil, New Tecumseth, Barrie and Collingwood.

Environment Canada says some areas could see up to 15 or 20 centimetres of snow by late Saturday.

Waterloo Regional Police responded to a number of minor accidents Saturday morning, mostly due to slippery roads.
