Police have now charged a sixth man with first-degree murder after a body was found in a burned-out vehicle in a central Ontario community.

Provincial police say the body of 39-year-old Herminder Bhandal, of Brampton, was discovered in the gutted vehicle on the morning of Aug. 25 in Essa Township, near Innisfil.

They say an autopsy determined Bhandal's death was a homicide.

Police earlier charged five men with murder and and sixth man was charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder.

On Sunday police charged Narankar Dhillon, 51, with one count of first-degree murder.

Police say he's being held in custody pending a court on Monday in Orangeville to face the allegation.
