Cambridge’s busy Delta intersection at Hespeler Road and Dundas Street was closed for several hours Friday due to a seven-vehicle crash.
The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m.
Police say a black Chevrolet Envoy failed to stop two blocks east of the intersection, crashed into another vehicle and kept going.
A chain reaction then drew four vehicles stopped for a red light at the Delta into the crash.
Witnesses at the scene say at least one vehicle was airborne during the crash.
"I was stopped here at a red light to turn left and the Chevy truck rear-ended my passenger-side rear-end and literally went airborne past me," said Joseph Martins.
The driver of the Envoy and a citizen who tried to intervene were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A number of streets near the Delta were also closed, but were expected to reopen Friday evening.
