A second man has been arrested in connection with a shooting which left one person seriously injured.

Waterloo Regional Police say Robert Balic, a 34-year-old Kitchener resident, is charged with being an accessory to attempted murder after the fact.

Hasnai Manji, 33, is already facing charges of attempted murder in connection with the shooting, which occurred Jan. 16 at the commuter parking lot at Fountain Street and Highway 401.

A 25-year-old man from Brampton was shot while sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot.

Police say the man has been released from hospital care as he continues to recover from serious injuries.

It is believed that he and Manji knew each other prior to the shooting.

A woman who was a passenger in his vehicle was not injured.

Following the shooting, police asked the public for help locating a black, four-door 1997 Mercedes sedan with the Ontario licence plate BSPL580.

That vehicle has yet to turn up, police said Thursday.
