A memorial was held Sunday, where family and friends gathered to remember Jordan Moorehead.

“He always loved to draw,” said Heather Moorehead, Jordan’s mother.

Sunday, she visited the site where her son died; saying she never knew where it happened.

“A little memorial place to come to now, that’s what we’re here for today,” she said.

Moorehead, 27, was hit by a car Monday night while walking along Amberley Road near the community of Bluevale, east of Wingham.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon.

The vehicle involved in the crash allegedly left the scene immediately following the crash, although police say they found a passenger-side mirror and some glass debris left behind.

Police said Wednesday that they had been in contact with the driver involved in the crash.

“They all came down from Sault St. Marie, Manitoba, all across Ontario to be here today, and show our love for Jordan,” said Christopher Moorehead, Jordan’s brother.

“We want answers, we want answers, it's not fair,” said Heather and Christopher.

She says police told her, five people who found Jordan, stayed with him until emergency crews arrived.

“Thank you very much for being with my baby,” she said.
