A group of protesters will continue their march from Toronto to Shelburne today in a bid to stop construction of what would be Canada's second largest quarry.

The residents, farmers and First Nations Representatives say the quarry would destroy prime farmland and damage water tables.

They plan to end their 119 kilometre march tomorrow with a rally at a potato farm next to the proposed quarry site near Shelburne.

The Ontario government still has to approve the quarry plans.
