Details are emerging about the heavy police presence on Frances St in Tillsonburg on Saturday morning.
Provincial police are now saying a man was barricaded inside his vehicle armed with rifles.
It all started around 3:00 AM when neighbours were told to leave their homes.
No one was hurt during the six hour standoff between police and the man but police did seize two long guns.
54-year-old Donald Morrison of Tillsonburg is facing a number of charges including point firearm, weapons dangerous and flight from police.
Police say he remains in custody.
