A memorial continues to grow for the two young men that were killed in Saturday’s single vehicle crash in Kitchener.

It happened on Robert Ferrie Drive at Reynolds Court in the Doon South neighbourhood just after 4:00 a.m.

RIP and condolence messages about the two men have been posted on facebook by friends and family.

The passenger, 19-year-old Travis Brown, who was a Wilfrid Laurier student and the driver, 24-year-old Jamie Martin, who was a young father are dead as a result of the crash. Both men were from Kitchener.

Police say one of the occupants died on scene while the other was airlifted to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Kitchener men had another friend in the car with them when they crashed into a light pole. Police say he suffered minor injuries.

Police are still investigating what caused the crash but say speed is likely a factor.

Robert Ferrie Drive was closed for nine hours on Saturday.
