Police have identified the two elderly victims of a fatal Thursday afternoon crash near St. Marys.
Two London residents, 79-year-old Anthony Bogoslowski and 78-year-old Audrey White, died in the crash, which occurred around 3 p.m. on Highway 7, also known in the area as Elginfield Road, at Perth Road 118, just east of St. Marys.
Police say their car was travelling northbound across Highway 7 when it was struck by a westbound tractor-trailer.
"The vehicle went through the intersection in front of a truck that had the right of way," said Const. Kees Wijnands of the Perth County OPP.
The two people in the car were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured.
The identities of the victims have not been released pending notification of their families.
Highway 7 and other roads in the vicinity were closed for several hours for investigation and cleanup efforts.
Police say roads were dry and skies were sunny at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.
