Police ID man who drowned at Sauble Beach

SAUBLE BEACH, Ont. - Police have released the identity of 36-year-old man from Milverton who drowned at Sauble Beach.

Bruce Peninsula OPP say Jeremy Gerber was pulled from the water around 2 p.m. on Friday.

Police say CPR was performed on Gerber before he was rushed to hospital and pronounced dead.

The coroner has determined Gerber died from drowning.

At the time of the incident, waters were turbulent with high winds causing waves almost one metre high.

Police say this was the 13th fatality on Ontario waters this summer.
