A 20-year-old man from Owen Sound has been arrested and charged with luring in connection with his communication with a 14-year-old Guelph girl.
Between March and April 2011, the two apparently met on a social networking site, and then began to communicate via text message.
The girl's parents discovered the messages and contacted the Guelph Police Service.
According to police, some of the text messages and a photo sent by the accused "constituted an offence under the Criminal Code."
Following the investigation and subsequent arrest on Thursday, two computers, an iPad and cell phone were seized at a home near Owen Sound.
Mason Cochrane will make a court appearance in Guelph on Friday.
