The LCBO says a new survey shows that many consumers are going local with their wine and beer purchases.

Of the 2,500 people surveyed in February and March, 64 per cent said they'd purchased an Ontario wine in the past three months.

Fifty-seven per cent said they'd bought either a mainstream domestic beer or an Ontario craft beer in the past 30 days.

The LCBO says Ontario craft beer is the fastest-growing beer segment with sales in 2010-11 up almost 53 per cent.
