Oil rags the likely cause of early morning blaze: firefighters

Kitchener firefighters say oily rags are likely the cause of an early morning fire at Devtek Aerospace.

Saturday morning, just before 5:00 a.m. crews were called to West Heights manufacturing on Highland road.

Fire officials say, three, 45-gallon drums of oil rags inside the building overheated and caught on fire before spreading to wood pallets outside.

Damage to the building is estimated to be $30,000 and the cause is not considered suspicious.
