KITCHENER -- OPP arrested two people in connection to an incident in Simcoe on Sunday.

Police say two people with guns threatened people inside a home, after being let in by the owner. The owner and two suspects know each other, according to officials.

Thomas Hangyasi, 41, and Alexandra Prime, 27, both from Brant County, are facing multiple charges including forcible confinement, possession of a weapon for dangerous use and intimidation.

A section of downtown Simcoe was closed for about five hours as police investigated.

Norfolk Street South was shut between Sydenham Street and Young Street.

Both Hangyasi and Prime are in custody and will appear in court at a later date.
