New charges laid against man accused of sexual offences against children

A man who previously lived in the Listowel area has apparently moved north to Hanover – and continues to run afoul of the law in his new home.
John Stone faces dozens of charges relating to sexual assault and sexual interference cases alleged to have occurred in 2014 and 2015.
He’s also accused of trafficking crystal meth and cocaine.
Hanover Police say that the 53-year-old Stone now lives in that town.
Officers visited his home on Monday and allegedly saw him using an electronic device, which they say he has been prohibited from doing..
He now faces two charges of breaching a court order. The second one related to a second electronic device allegedly found in his home.
According to an online profile, Stone spent several years as a sworn member of the Ontario Provincial Police in the Peterborough area, leaving the organization in 1991.
