The preliminary hearing in the Nadia Gehl murder case is over, and dates for pre-trial hearings for the three men charged should be set later this month.
Gehl's husband Ronald Cyr, 31, is charged with first degree murder, along with Nashat Qahwash, 24, and Zdenek Zvolensky, 24.
Gehl was shot and killed on Feb. 2, 2009 as she walked from her home in Kitchener to a bus stop on Ottawa Street.
Defence lawyer John Rosen says going to trial was not an issue during the 13-day preliminary hearing.
At the end of October the Superior Court is expected to set dates for pre-trial hearings, during which issues like a venue change or whether the suspect will be tried together can be discussed.
Rosen says "Right now, I don't know if anybody's taken a firm position on anything and so we'll have to address all those issues…and make sure everybody is ready to have a trial."
