Police in southern Ontario have released surveillance photos of two suspects after the theft of a poppy donation box on Remembrance Day.

Norfolk County OPP say the theft occurred between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 11, at the Wrap It Up counter in the food court of the Simcoe Mall.

The box was later found discarded outside the mall with all the money having been taken.

“Our veterans have played such an integral role in Canadian history and society, and this act of theft is very disturbing. The OPP reviewed video surveillance and are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying two males,” said police in a news release.

Anyone with information is asked to contact local police or Crime Stoppers.
