ST. CATHARINES, Ont. -- A 71-year old St. Catharines man is dead after a single vehicle crash in the city,
Niagara Regional Police say the driver lost control yesterday afternoon (on Linwell Road) and slammed into a utility pole.
The driver was taken by ambulance to St. Catharines General Hospital then moved to Hamilton General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.
