GUELPH -- A pilot suffered minor injuries after a plane crashed in Puslinch Township, according to police.

Provincial police and local fire officials both responded to the call in the area of Flamborough-Puslinch Townline around 11:30 a.m. Monday.

The plane crashed inside a horse training track, according to officials.

The 64-year-old pilot was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the crash was likely due to engine troubles.

The Transportation Safety Board was notified about the crash, but didn't attend the scene because officials say it was considered a minor flight incident.
