Police are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted in connection with the robbery of a convenience store in the east end of Cambridge.

The Elgin Mini Mart on Elgin Street North was robbed around 7 p.m. Saturday.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, one man got away with cash from the cash register after demanding that the clerk give him money.

Police describe the man they’re seeking as being white, 5’6” and likely 25 to 35 years old.

They say he was wearing a plaid jacket with blue, white and red colours, as well as dark Adidas pants, dark running shoes, and a red, white and black mask over the lower half of his face.

He was also seen carrying a blue backpack with a white logo.
