A Kitchener man is facing a charge relating to his allegedly possessing tobacco for a criminal purpose.

Waterloo Regional Police say the 59-year-old man was arrested last Thursday in downtown Kitchener.

At the time, he allegedly had 72 cartons of unmarked contraband tobacco with him – an amount that police say is far more than a person would normally have on them.

Police say a minivan was also seized as a proceed of crime.
